Another Rainy Day Guide to San Francisco
Even though our San Francisco tours run rain or shine, we know that not everyone is up for a Muir Woods tour when it’s raining out. But even if it’s wet out, there are still ways
TASTE THE MUSEUM OF ICE CREAM
Okay, so maybe ice cream isn’t the most sensible rainy day treat. But this is San Francisco after all! This just might be one of the coolest things in San Francisco right now. And if you’re staying in or around Union Square, this will be easy to get to! It might not be a San Francisco Muir Woods tour, but you’ll still get a taste of San Francisco. Grab your tickets to the Museum of Ice Cream here.
TIME TRAVEL AT THE MUSEE MECANIQUE
If there’s only one place you visit in Fisherman’s Wharf, it has got to be the old penny arcade! We seriously can’t get enough of this arcade museum — check out our guide to exploring the Musee Mecanique. Walking through the penny arcade is like walking through your own San Francisco tour through time. Seriously, all you need are a handful of quarters. And if you see a guy skating past you on roller skates — that’s the owner Dan, say hi!
PET ALL THE CATS AT KITTEA, THE CAT CAFE
KitTea is a seriously fancy tea house. But, with cats… that you can adopt. KitTea is a modern San Francisco tale. Discontented with her well-to-do tech job, Courtney Hatt ditched her day job to follow her passion to help animals and founded San Francisco’s first cat cafe. They tend to get busy when it’s raining — so book your reservation in advance here.
DISCOVER THE COLOR FACTORY
This is kind of a sister museum to fellow pop-up Museum of Ice Cream. But you only have until February 2018 to get to the interactive Color Factory! This isn’t really any kind of San Francisco tour, but it’s just too fun to miss out on.
